After law school Rita Holder joined a firm doing family law and environmental law and was eventually recruited to work for a management consulting firm. She remained there for 20 years becoming a partner, during which time she earned a post-doctoral degree, an LL.M. in taxation.
Approximately 10 years ago she started her own law practice focusing on wills, trusts, probate and trust administration. She also serves as a pro tem judge in Contra Costa County Superior Court and volunteers as a discovery referee where she hears disputes between attorneys about what discovery should and should not be allowed in trial.

Rita Holder has worked as a probate judge and is a licensed tax attorney with a post-doctorate degree in tax law. She possesses extensive knowledge concerning California probate law and how tax laws affect her client’s estates.
